The Cleveland Indians had Progressive Field rocking Tuesday night as Brandon Guyer sent the fans home happy with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth. The win maintains the Indians’ seven-game lead over the Detroit Tigers, with the magic number to clinch the division now at six.
The walk-off finish was great, but the best performance of this game came from Josh Tomlin. He went 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run on five hits, and once again did not allow a home run. Tomlin is going to be a key player for the Indians in the playoffs, so it is great to see him back at his old form.
