Akron RubberDucks get shut out in loss to Curve in Altoona, Pa.

Struggles at the plate continued for the Akron RubberDucks, who managed only seven hits in a 7-0 loss to the Curve on Sunday in a Class AA Eastern League game in Altoona, Pa.

Ten games into the season, RubberDucks batters have yet to hit a home run, the only Eastern League team without a homer. They are batting .218 as a team and have only 15 extra-base hits in 325 at-bats.

Their luck was no better against Curve left-hander Zack Dodson (1-0, 0.00), who threw six scoreless innings, giving up just four hits with no walks and no strikeouts.
