HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania — Bradley Zimmer's solo homer tied the game for the RubberDucks in the top of the ninth, but it slipped away in the bottom of the inning as Akron lost to the Senators, 7-6, on Sunday.
It was the RubberDucks eighth straight loss in the Class AA Eastern League. Akron is 2-10 in June.
The loss also wasted solid efforts from Zimmer and Clint Frazier, who was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI. Zimmer was 3-for-5 with one RBI.
Akron jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning with an RBI single from Frazier and an RBI double from Jeremy Lucas.
