Akron finally evens record, Nolan Jones extends on-base streak to 34 games in Lynchburg loss

The Akron offense struggled Monday. Eric Haase was the lone Clipper to reach base safely twice, hitting his seventh home run of the season and also walking. Haase now leads all Indians players at all levels in home runs.

In his return to Columbus, Greg Allen’s contact woes continued, going 0-4 with three strikeouts.

Starting pitcher Shao-Ching Chiang was decent, allowing four runs (three earned) in 6.0 innings while striking out two and waking one to absorb the loss.

Matt Solter was given a seven-run lead early and while he wasn’t his best, five earned runs allowed on seven hits in 5.
