CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Aaron Civale, the 22nd-ranked prospect in the Cleveland Indians farm system, was impressive in his last start for the Lake County Captains on Tuesday at Classic Park.
The righthander allowed just two hits while striking out seven in seven shutout innings as the Captains edged the Beloit Snappers, 1-0. After a leadoff single in the fourth inning, Civale retired 12 straight to finish his dominating performance. He did not walk a batter and allowed just three baserunners.
Civale, 21, was drafted in the third round last year out of Northeastern.
