Priming themselves for an absolute fight in the NL East, the Washington Nationals acquired shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera from the Cleveland Indians just an hour before the non-waiver trade deadline.

According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Cabrera will likely slot in at second base for the Nationals:

In exchange, the Cleveland Indians will pick up infielder Zach Walter while sending some cash the Nationals' way to help cover Cabrera's salary:

Cabrera is hitting .246/.305/.386 with nine home runs and 40 RBIs in 378 at-bats this season.
