OAKLAND, CALIF.: The forearm delivered to the back of Kevin Love’s head sent him tumbling to the ground in pain. The crippling blow the Golden State Warriors delivered to the Cavaliers Sunday night has put their season in peril.
Love is in the league’s concussion protocol and the Cavs are on life support following another 110-77 blitzing Sunday at the hands of the Warriors at Oracle Arena. After insisting for two days they weren’t dejected and the film from Game 1 revealed plenty of simple fixes, they can’t say that any longer.
This was the worst loss of the season for the Cavs, surpassing the 32-point beatdown the Warriors dropped on the Cavs at home in January.
