CLEVELAND: General Manager David Griffin acknowledged he wasn’t happy with LeBron James’ candid comments this week regarding the Cavaliers. Both Griffin and coach Tyronn Lue addressed James prior to Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, then Lue then addressed the team about it prior to the game.
“It wouldn’t have been my preferred method,” Griffin said. “It certainly wasn’t appropriate from a teammate perspective. But it is what it is.”
Griffin would not say whether James expressed remorse after he called the Cavs’ roster “top heavy” following Monday’s loss at the New Orleans Pelicans and questioned whether the organization was satisfied with winning just one championship.
