The standoff between Tristan Thompson and the Cleveland Cavaliers could finally come to an end, at least for this season, on Thursday. Thompson has until Thursday to accept his qualifying offer after the Cavs refused to accept his offer to sign a 3-year, $53 million deal.
So now Thompson is left with three options: take the qualifying offer that will pay him $6.9 million this season, work with the Cavs to have the qualifying deadline extended, or somehow agree to a new deal with the Cavs before Thursday.
