OAKLAND, Calif.– Tristan Thompson will not be suspended, but will be fined $25,000 for his altercation with Draymond Green during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
The NBA announced the decision via press release on Friday night.
The incident occurred with 2.6 seconds remaining in overtime of the Cavaliers’ 124-114 loss. Thompson had been ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul call for swinging his elbow near Shaun Livingston’s head. The league has also announced the foul has been downgraded to a Flagrant 1.
As Thompson was leaving the court, Draymond Green began taunting him.
