INDEPENDENCE, Ohio – LeBron James could soon tangentially become a Golden Globe Award winner.
The summer movie in which he held a supporting role, Trainwreck, starring Amy Schumer and Bill Hader, is nominated for a Golden Globe in the category of best motion picture – comedy or musical.
Schumer, who wrote the movie in addition to playing the female lead, was nominated for best actress in a comedy or musical. Judd Apatow directed.
James was, ahem, shut out on any nominations. He essentially played himself in the film, though he had to pull off some comedic scenes as Hader's best friend in the flick.
