CLEVELAND, Ohio - Despite the Cleveland Cavaliers being down 2-0 in the NBA finals, the Rev. Jesse Jackson has only the kindest words to say about Cavs star Lebron James.
Jackson, a longtime grassroots organizer and activist, said during a Wednesday visit with the editorial board for cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer that James was one of the most phenomenal persons he's ever met.
"He's a rare jewel among human beings," Jackson said. "Most athletes hide through their career. Avoid social justice. Protect their image to sell candy and cars. Very invisible when it comes to matters that count.
