It’s now no secret heading into the near future that the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the midst of a full-blown rebuild after LeBron James left via free agency to the Los Angeles Lakers after the 2017-18 season, after leading the Cavaliers to four consecutive NBA Finals, including a championship in 2016.
Around the 2018 trade deadline, the Cavaliers reportedly acquired Nance in a deal that also brought over guard Jordan Clarkson from the Lakers. Nance immediately became a fan favorite in Cleveland, and a lot of the love was due to his dad, Larry Nance, being a Cavalier legend.
