Ted Cruz was one of the 17 presidential hopefuls, but ultimately fell short to Republican nominee, Donald Trump. Regardless, Cruz was asked to speak at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Cleveland, OH.
Leave it to Cruz to create chaos at the RNC. He got the crowd going as if he were going to endorse Trump. He continued to build up on his comments, talking about uniting the Republican party, but did not endorse Trump.
Cruz would be booed off the stage before he finished his speech, which was pre-approved by Trump’s campaign. Since he didn’t endorse Trump, he did not honor the pledge that all 17 candidates running for the Republican nominee agreed to, which was to support whoever won the nomination.
