The Orlando Magic plan to offer Cavs general manager David Griffin the president of basketball operations job, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.
The Cavs are in the postseason, thus, the Magic and Griffin can’t negotiate terms on a contract. They will have to when the Cavs season ends, per Windhorst.
The Cavs and Griffin have not “held meaningful discussions on contract extension,” per Windhorst. Griffin’s contract is up at the end of the season.
If you recall, LeBron James gave an endorsement to Griffin during the season and would love for Griffin to stay with the team.
