When healthy, David Nwaba has been a solid player for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. Though his contributions don’t always jump out to casual NBA fans, Nwaba is a player that can be a quality piece in the coming years for Cleveland.
According to The Athletic’s Joe Vardon (subscription required and h/t Cavaliers Nation’s Jonathan Sherman), Cleveland is probably going to have Nwaba suit up again for them in the 2019-20 season, because of him being a restricted free agent.
Vardon said that due to Nwaba being a restricted free agent coming up in July, “the Cavs still basically control him.
