Cavs fans who are wondering why guard JR Smith was sat for last evening’s game between the Cavs and 76ers have at least some sort of answer – it’s all about a bowl of soup.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst is reporting that Smith tossed a bowl of soup at assistant coach Damon Jones, thus drawing the ire of coach Ty Lue who sat Smith for last night’s loss to the 76’ers at the Q.
With the one-game suspension in the books, Smith will return to practice today, and will be back as the teams starting shooting guard when the Cavs play host to the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night at Quicken Loans Arena.
