CLEVELAND – The Cavs and Timberwolves underwent major renovations to their organizations this offseason, making the two biggest trades of the summer.
Cleveland shipped Kyrie Irving to Boston in exchange for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and two draft picks.
Minnesota dealt Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine and the No. 7 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft (Lauri Markannen) to Chicago for Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft (Justin Patton).
The revamped rosters will meet for the first time this season on Monday night from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
