Golden State 51, Cavaliers 50
J.R. Smith looked to return to form in the first half, scoring 14 points, but he quickly cooled down, leaving LeBron James to continue carrying the load for the Cavaliers as they battled through a first half that alternated between the way they wanted to play and the Warriors wanted things to go. The score said it was virtually a draw as the lead changed hands 12 times in the opening two quarters. The primary difference: the Cavs’ inability to hit shots early on often looking a bit reckless. The Warriors outshot them 54 percent to 42 percent.
