CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The latest series from Uninterrupted, the digital company founded by LeBron James, has premiered.
"The Crossover: The Story of Laurence Moses Bryant" is a mockumentary-style basketball comedy set in James' hometown of Akron. Lamorne Morris (Winston from TV's "New Girl") stars as Laurence Moses Bryant, a playground legend in his own mind who once broke LeBron's ankles with a killer crossover move during a pickup game.
Trouble is, no one besides Laurence seems to remember that moment, you know, the one he says earned him the self-given nickname, "The Kingslayer." Not even LeBron's friend and business partner Maverick Cartner or ESPN reporter and longtime LeBron chronicler Brian Windhorst, both of whom appear on the show as themselves.
