LeBron James relinquishing point guard duties with Cavs this season

INDEPENDENCE: There was a point early last season when LeBron James took the ball out of Kyrie Irving’s hands and became the de facto point guard for the Cavaliers. He has relinquished that role through the early part of the season, returning to his place on the wing and allowing the point guards to be point guards.

Whether or not that continues when Irving returns from his knee injury remains to be seen. For now, the Cavs have dropped out of the top 10 in isolation points after leading the league in it last year. All of that is good news for James, who believes the key to success this season will be ball movement.
