INDEPENDENCE: LeBron James is on a tightrope right now, and he’s doing his best not to lean too far to one side or the other.
James is urging both sides in this Tristan Thompson stalemate to strike a deal, while simultaneously insisting he isn’t discussing the matter with Thompson and he isn’t meddling in the Cavaliers’ affairs.
Like most things in life, this is getting complicated.
“The last thing you need is a distraction when you try to make a championship run. And we have that right now,” James said Sunday in a candid interview following practice.
