LeBron James cools off in the second half as Cleveland Cavaliers lose to Detroit Pistons, 104-99

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Inside a building that has witnessed a number of LeBron James' most memorable moments, it appeared he was headed for another. Engaged and aggressive from the opening tip, James scored 10 of his game-high 30 points early and had 23 at the half, helping spark the offense to a season-high 56 points on 56 percent shooting.

But James was quieted in the second half, held to seven points on 3-of-8 shooting, as the Pistons erased a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter and handed the Cavs their second straight loss, 104-99.

Outscoring the Cavs (8-3) in the final period, 29-18, the Pistons were ignited late by Reggie Jackson, who scored eight of Detroit's final nine points en route to a 23-point night.
