CLEVELAND, Ohio – As LeBron James retold the tale of his hook shot that beat the Brooklyn Nets Saturday night, he remembered poor Brook Lopez.
Lopez, the Nets' 7-footer and leading scorer in the game, was the defender rendered helpless by James' Magic Johnson impression. James floated his running, baby hook with 1.9 seconds left over Johnson that forged a 90-88 victory for the Cavs.
"Brook, he did not think in his wildest years that I was gonna shoot that one," James said.
It was a memorable end to an otherwise forgettable game for the Cavs, who grinded so hard Friday night to snap a three-game road losing streak in Charlotte that they were a step slow for most of the night against the Nets (now 3-13).
