INDEPENDENCE: LeBron James has a history of going underground on his teams this time of year, particularly in summers when he is a free agent. That isn’t the case this summer, according to Cavs General Manager David Griffin.
James has been active in conversations with Cavs management despite his own pending free agency this summer. James’ free agency, of course, is widely considered a financial strategy to maximize his salary under the cap. No one expects him to depart this summer.
“We’ve heard from him every day pretty much relative to our roster,” Griffin said. “It’s been great.
