CANTON, Ohio -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have preached patience with Larry Sanders, who made his debut with the D-League affiliate Canton Charge on Saturday night, a few days after returning to the NBA in a blowout win against the Detroit Pistons.
Sanders practiced with the Charge earlier this week and went through a shootaround to get acclimated to his new team.
He's expected to keep spending time with the Charge while the Cavaliers are in the midst of another road trip.
"The plan right now, we talked to Larry in the beginning about the possibility of using the D-League and he was excited about that," Cavaliers general manager David Griffin said recently.
