Larry Nance Jr. reportedly suffered a chest contusion in a March 8 loss to the Miami Heat, and it’s kept him out of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ last five games. Not having Nance in there has made things tougher for Cleveland’s frontcourt on both ends, although Marquese Chriss has gotten some more playing time at least.
After Nance spoke with the media today, though, it appears that he’s very close to returning, which should help Cleveland’s defensive communication and rebounding, as Chriss often looks confused off-ball defensively and is too sped-up with the ball in his hands on the offensive end.
