CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Kyrie Irving said he wouldn't consider signing a contract extension with the Boston Celtics.
From a pure money standpoint, that makes sense in terms of dollars.
1. Irving has $20 million left on the contract he signed in the summer of 2014 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
2. So he is guaranteed $20 million in 2018-19. He has a player option of $21 million for 2019-20.
3. If he signed an extension with Boston this summer, it would be worth about $107 million over four years.
