Kevin Love will sit out tonight’s home game against the Washington Wizards to rest, the team said Friday morning. This will mark just the second game Love has missed this season. He also missed one with a thigh injury.
Coach Tyronn Lue has said repeatedly he wants to get guys rest between now and the end of the season. Friday’s game against the Wizards is the first night of a back-to-back and also marks the first of three games in four nights.
Love is averaging 15.9 points and 10.1 rebounds this season in 32 minutes a night, his lowest per-game figure in six seasons.
