With seven whereases and one therefore thrown in for good measure, Ohio Gov. John Kasich has declared Wednesday as Cleveland Cavaliers Day in Ohio.
In the lengthy resolution, Kasich recalled the shared heartache of Northeast Ohio for 52 years since the last national championship.
“The city of Cleveland and all of Northeast Ohio have withstood heartbreaks at the Stadium, at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario, in Richfield and in the Q, coming to a gut-wrenching head with ESPN’s 30 for 30 Believeland,” the resolution states.
He specifically called out to those living in the 216 and 440 area codes and those from “the 330 to the 614 and everyone in between” for their long suffering without a championship season.
