Just in time for Veterans Day, Cavs player J.R. Smith teamed back up with Ohio CAT to present Sergeant 1st Class John O’Connor the prize package he won with the help of the Cavs player at the Wine and Gold Scrimmage last month.
Selected to participate in a halftime contest during the annual intrasquad scrimmage on October 5th, Sgt. O’Connor won the package valued at $30,000 from Ohio CAT, thanks to Smith draining a half-court shot.
Fast forward one month, and on Thursday, November 5th, the Army veteran received his prize from the Cavs player and representatives of Ohio CAT at their Broadview Heights location.
