The Cleveland Cavaliers and J.R. Smith are probably going to get the band back together — pretty much by default.
J.R. Smith may be on cloud nine after proposing to his girlfriend over the weekend, he still doesn’t have a job in the NBA. That’s probably going to change before the season starts, as the Cleveland Cavaliers and Smith still have mutual interest in one another, albeit at a drastically reduced price from what was originally planned to happen.
Smith inexplicably opted out of a player option valued at just over $6 million to try and get a better deal either from Cleveland or someone else.
