Jeff Green latest free agent to leave the Cavaliers, agrees to join Wizards

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Former Cavaliers forward Jeff Green agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Washington Wizards, according to multiple reports.

Green, 31, played for the Cavs for one season (on a $2.3 million deal), averaging 10.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. Cleveland had interest in bringing him back on the same minimum deal he agreed to with the Wizards.

Green's best moment with the Cavs was likely Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Celtics, when he scored 19 points with eight rebounds in place of the injured Kevin Love.

The Cavs have lost free agents LeBron James, Green, and Jose Calderon this week.
