The problem isn’t the talent. The Cavaliers have enough talent right now to win their first championship.
The problem isn’t location. Playing in the East gives them ample time to get the band back together and an easier path to a parade. A slow start seems inevitable at this point, LeBron James conceded as much recently. Fine. They started 19-20 last year and still came within two victories of a title.
The problem, the most glaring concern for this team between now and June, is clearly the injuries. And it’s not just the guys who are injured now, it’s that the guys who are injured now always seem to be injured.
