Cleveland Cavaliers forward James Jones hasn’t received a lot of playing time in Cleveland, but he still has a tremendous impact on the Cavs’ organization.
Jones earned the 2016 National Basketball Players Association’s (NBPA) Teammate of the Year Award. The NBPA selects one player from every team to win the award, voted on by one another’s peers.
Earning the recognition as a teammate should hold Jones in high regard when it comes to bringing him back for the 2016-17 NBA season. After all, being recognized by your teammates is one thing, but to be recognized by players around the league means you have the respect of opponents around the league.
