28-year-old Jimmy Butler, a All-Star swingman for the Minnesota Timberwolves, has long been known as a “grinder.” As a result, the lack of work ethic from teammates like Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony-Towns has driven him crazy and made him a trade target for many teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers.
There have been no reports that the Cavs have interest in trading for Butler or that the Wolves have interest in trading him.
However, with the rift between the Wolves and Butler going so deep that he’s refusing to sign a contract extension and the news that he and former Cav Kyrie Irving want to play together, the writing seems to be on the wall.
