CLEVELAND, Ohio - J.R. Smith practiced Wednesday and is listed as "questionable" for Thursday's Game 3 against the Pacers.
What would Smith missing time mean for the Cavs at this point in the postseason?
They clearly want and need him to be the player who helped them win the NBA title a year ago. But he hasn't returned to that form since missing 36 games following surgery on his right thumb.
Leading 2-0 in a first-round series against the No. 7-seeded Pacers, the Cavs have time to let Smith get healthy.
They could probably get out of the Eastern Conference without Smith playing at full strength.
