Heavy workload in loss to Raptors helps force LeBron James out of lineup today against Wizards

WASHINGTON: LeBron James will miss his second game of the season today when the Cavs play at the Washington Wizards. Coach Tyronn Lue made the decision to rest James because he played the entire second half of Friday’s loss at Toronto and the Cavs are playing three games in four nights. They host the Indiana Pacers on Monday.

Lue didn’t enter Friday with the intention of playing James the entire second half, but he said James didn’t want to come out.

“I should’ve got him out, but he didn’t want to come out,” Lue said. “As the game started down the stretch to get close, I said, ‘I’m going to get you out for a couple minutes.
