NEW YORK -- Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair has been arrested on weapons and marijuana-related charges during a traffic stop in Brooklyn.
The 32-year-old Telfair and another man were arrested early Sunday morning after police found loaded firearms, a semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, a bulletproof vest and marijuana inside their vehicle, police said.
Telfair, who was driving, was charged with six felonies, including criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful wearing of a body vest, The New York Times reported. The weapon charge includes a potential sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
It wasn't clear if Telfair had a lawyer.
