Eastern Conference semifinals: Cavaliers find 3-point shooting stroke quickly, hit record 25 en route to overwhelming 123-98 victory over Hawks in Game 2

CLEVELAND: New Browns coach Hue Jackson took to the microphone Wednesday night during a first-quarter timeout at Quicken Loans Arena, and shouted, “Let’s go Cavs and let’s go Browns!” to the sold-out crowd.

The Cavaliers held a two-point lead when Jackson spoke with 6:32 to go in the first quarter and had made two 3-point field goals.

That number of 3’s was about to increase dramatically as the Cavs ended up putting together the best long-range shooting exhibition in the history of the NBA, regular season or playoffs.

The Cavs made an NBA-record 25 3’s and decisively defeated the Atlanta Hawks 123-98 to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven second-round series in the Eastern Conference.
