One of the problems the Cavs have with running the up-tempo offense is their lack of speed. Besides LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, the Cavaliers have few players that have average to above average speed for their position. For example, Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love are tremendous players, but they aren’t fast compared to other players at their position. Bench players like Matthew Dellavedova, Mo Williams, and Richard Jefferson range between average to well below average speed for their positions.
Given the Cavaliers’ lack of speed and desire to push the pace, Cunningham should be given a chance to see what he can do.
