CLEVELAND, Ohio -- With training camp beginning in a few weeks, the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the midst of sending out their invites. The latest training camp deal is with swingman D.J. Stephens.
According to a report from Hoops Rumors, the 6-foot-5 Stephens is looking to get back in the NBA after playing with Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League this past season.
As a starter in Russia, the one-time Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year averaged 7.0 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the field. He also nabbed 21 steals and swatted 26 shots in 31 appearances split between the VTB United League and Eurocup play.
