The 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship concluded on Monday, August 17 with the Australian Men's National Team defeating New Zealand, 89-79, in Wellington, New Zealand. With the victory, Australia qualified for 2016 Summer Olympics to be played in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Cavalier guard and Australian floor general, Matthew Dellavedova, led the Aussies with team-highs of 14 points and five assists in 25 minutes of play. Dellavedova was efficient, shooting 4-of-10 from the floor including 2-for-4 from downtown and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe while posting a game-best (+/-) at +16 points.
The FIBA Oceania Championship featured a two-game series between Australia and New Zealand.
