CLEVELAND, Ohio -- One year to the day of winning the first title in franchise history, the Cavaliers announced that they will not renew general manager David Griffin's contract, and are looking for a new GM.
Griffin's contract as GM expires on June 30.
Griffin had been the team's general manager since the 2013-14 season and helped build the 2015-16 champion Cavaliers. They lost in the 2017 NBA Finals to Golden State in five games.
So should the Cavaliers have kept Griffin? Or were they right in letting him leave? Let us know in the poll and comments below.
