The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a ridiculously prosperous few years. Especially considering that the year before, they went 33-49 and hadn’t made the playoffs since LeBron James played for them. This wave of success has been largely the making of general manager David Griffin.
Griffin officially took over as general manager on May 12, 2014.
His first slew of moves included drafting Andrew Wiggins, hiring Euroleague Coach of the Year David Blatt, signing LeBron and acquiring Kevin Love; that was all before the season even started.
