CLEVELAND, Ohio - David Griffin will not return as general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers when his contract expires, the franchise confirmed Monday evening.
Cavs owner Dan Gilbert made the following statement, "On behalf of the entire organization, I would like to thank Griff for his leadership and many contributions during his time here, including most recently, his role in the franchise's first NBA championship."
The decision comes days before the NBA Draft Thursday and during an important offseason for the Cavs after falling in the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors.
Here is a look at some of the reaction to the decision.
