Dan Gilbert Unveils Plans for Detroit’s Tallest Skyscraper

Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock Detroit revealed plans to construct a 52-story building in Downtown Detroit

The building will be on the former Hudson’s site along Woodward Ave.

It would be the tallest building in Detroit.

The designs include 250 residential units, and a nine-story “podium” comprised of 733,823 square feet of mixed commercial, office, technology, arts and culture space — with 700 parking spaces on the lower levels.

The Cavaliers owner will always be remembered in Cleveland for helping to end the 52-year championship drought, but the Detroit-native’s active involvement in revitalizing his hometown’s downtown district could be the even more lasting legacy he leaves behind.
