The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals last night as the Golden State Warriors closed out the series 4-1. Playing against juggernaut that the Warriors assembled could only get harder and as a result, the Cavs will need to be honest with themselves in assessing their team. subsequently, general manager David Griffin (whose contract expires on June 30th) will need to be around for the long haul for the Cavs to stay competitive.
Griffin deserves to be paid for what he has created in Cleveland with limited assets and the work he’s done in the Land make it clear that LeBron James isn’t the general manager of the Cavaliers.
