According to ESPN’s Chris Haynes, 36-year-old shooting guard Dahntay Jones will indeed be signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The deal is expected to happen by tomorrow.
Jones’ highlights from last season?
After averaging 15.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League, Jones was signed on April 13th and played 42 minutes in the Cleveland Cavaliers regular season finale. In that game, Jones recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal.
Playing sporadically in the NBA playoffs, Jones was suspended for a single game for hitting Bismack Biyombo below-the-belt and that was the highlight of his postseason.
