On draft night Collin Sexton chose the number 2 as his number for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the same number that he had at Alabama.
The number is relevant because this is the same number of the former Cleveland Cavaliers superstar Kyrie Irving. Kyrie Irving originally wanted the number 11 when he came to Cleveland because that was his number at Duke. Clearly, that was Irving’s No. 1 choice since it is his current number at Boston.
Due to the Cavaliers retiring Zydrunas Ilgauskas’s number, he was unable to keep his college number thus leading to him choosing the number 2.
